I started composing again when I was 23, and have worked in London ever since as a composer, pianist and teacher.

My pieces fall into three groups; songs, instrumental pieces and piano music.

The critic Jonathan Wiltshire has described my general style as "residual", suggesting that my music constitutes what is left after the demise of Modernism and the slow degeneration and dilution of Pop. As main influences I would cite Erik Satie and Brian Eno. Indeed, I consider these two men to be the most important composers of the 20th century.

In the 1980s I ran an ensemble called "The Wink", which performed extensively in Great Britain and played fairly simple, lyrical, tonal music.

I started writing songs fifteen years ago, and have performed them in Britain, France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
