More info about the music

1.   Kambilolo – a childhood song about a bird that visits the Malindi area Kenya coast during rain

2.   Five Sheep – a traditional Australian folk melody about sheep shearing, combined with the five-eight rhythm of a popular Kikuyu folk melody

3.   Ngoma Tano – flutes and pipes have a spiritual role in many cultures – this is an experiment at mesmerising people with the sounds of flutes from 3 different continents; Kenyan chivoti, Indian bamboo flute, Irish tin whistle, and a German plastic recorder bought in the Canary Islands in 1973

4.   Resham Firri – a Kenyan arrangement of a song from the hills of Nepal

5.   Mozart on Moi Avenue – a movement from Mozart’s little-known extra bassoon concerto which he wrote in 1776 while on a safari holiday in Kenya  (score recently unearthed from a drainage canal in the Nairobi Industrial Area...)

6.   Improvisation – a 30-minute structured improvisation moving through different moods and feelings

7.   People of The World - a song calling for World Peace

8.   Ramogi – an encore using a popular beat from Kisumu in  Western Kenya
